What’s there to do in Nassau?
My friends and I (all around the age of 18-20 & all girls) are going to the Bahamas next week and we don’t know what to do there that is affordable and SAFE.
*We are staying at the Wyndham resort (is there more than one Wyndham in Nassau?)
* Is it safe to ride the public transportation? I read that there is a bus stop right in front of our hotel that will take us to downtown?
* How is the nightlife there? Since it is a group of girls traveling, we’d prefer to go somewhere safe & within our age group. Any recommendations?? I guess we’re looking for a crowd of tourists more so than natives. I’ve read reviews about Senor Frog being a nice spot for young adults..does anyone know how far that is from our hotel?
* Any other recommendations of attractions/things to do would be appreciated! =)
Hi Madison, My husband daughters and I are renting a house here in the Bahamas now…during the month of July…We have visited and stayed at the Wyndham yearly for the last 10!!! Yes, there is only one Wyndham..It is very touristy..We have been riding the 10 bus all week long…It stops across the street to head downtown…It is very safe to go anywhere up to… downtown..my 10 yr old and I made the mistake the other day by going to the Harbor bay shopping plaza we ventured out beyond “downtown” and wished we had not…there is no need to!! Yes Senior Frogs is downtown..the buses stop running I think 745pm so you will have to take a taxi!! Stay together…That’s anywhere you go even in the US…The Atlantis has a club called Aura and here it’s great…My daughter will be turning 18 this month so we will be there this month too!! Senior Frogs is by bus about 10-15 from the Hotel…that’s the same for Aura at the Atlantis!! If you girls plan on going on an excursion then take the Powerboat Adventure..it’s about 200.00 per person but it’s a once in a lifetime experience!! Whatever you do have fun and be safe..oh and everyone here is nice, just be smart!! Lucy Be sure to enjoy a drink from the drink hut across the street..they are delicious
