How does destination weddings in Jamaica or Bahamas?
Does anyone have any experience they'd like to share? My boyfriend and I are planning a wedding in Jamaica or Bahamas (probably making sandals). Priced out some stations Sandals in Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril. The price seems very good, I do not know whether it was worth spending the extra in the Bahamas, Antigua and St. Lucia. During 10 days Jamacia is like $ 3k to $ 3.5k, while others are about $ 2k extra. I would save that $ 2k and still have a beautiful wedding ….
Jamaica would be perfect! Eights Negril is better than Rivers. My brother got married there 2 years ago and was absolutely brilliant, beautiful, everything you want. Save the extra 2GS to ensure there is nothing better on the islands, except that they are more Americanized. Bahamas is full of spoiled children and tourists. Santa Lucia is nice but not better than any Jamaica. My mother is a travel agent and book she could have anywhere, but she sent them to Negril.
