Pandemic alert around? Swine Flu or H1N1 virus is spreading globally at a rapid pace

Pandemic alert around? Swine flu or virus H1N1 is spreading worldwide at a rapid pace.

That called for an emergency meeting to discuss the latest developments in the spread of swine flu worldwide.

The WHO has increased the alert level 5, which is just below the level of pandemic alert complete – Level 6.

Swine influenza is caused by the H1N1 virus that has killed 21,940 people in 68 countries so far. 125 people have died from the flu epidemic so far.

Experts are uncertain how the virus develops and whether it will mutate and change to a variant of flu more dangerous.
