Help! What Caribbean island?
Hello! I'm planning a trip to one of the many Caribbean islands, but I have no idea what to choose. We ra family 4 adults that priority is security, clean, beautiful beaches, things tourist / resort atmosphere and great family nature activities impressive time of course! My question goes to those who have been able to get direct flights to the island owners, no problem. I was also thinking of Barbados, Punta Cana, Bahamas, US / British Virgin Islands, St. Lucia ….. Belize still lol But I do not know what the main differences are b / w these islands, even after searching Google! Please any input will be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Indeed two of us are in our 20 and the other 2 are in their early 60's so I guess that means I will not really be able to check the night life …. in fact as much as this pains me to say …. a place without a nightlife crazy thing for their cause … lol
We have been in most of the Caribbean, and each has its advantages and disadvantages on the basis of what you describe it you want. We found that beaches in Aruba and Punta Cana / Dominican Republic are very nice. Aruba is safer than most and has some features than others. But is a medium-sized target with the activities of limited nature than the usual water recreation such as diving, boating, etc. has great resorts RD all-inclusive and is known for them. But largely stay in the resort, although there is much to do in all cases. Security is a problem. U.S. Virgin Islands are marketed, they have many stores, some snorkeling, etc. but no night life. The British Virgin Islands are safer, less touristy and quieter. Barbados and St. Lucia are a bit more elusive. Both are very nice, are OK stores offer some decent skiing, etc Santa Lucia in particular, is more enjoyable to watch. Belize cruise is visiting better long-term scale, but others may disagree. If you go, definitely check look at the river tube cave. Cancun is a good choice for a direct flight. The beaches are not as good as other places because of hurricane damage, but has much to do, easy access to restaurants, a decent degree of security and many good hotels and resorts all inclusive. Since you are going to the Caribbean for the first time, I recommend Punta Cana Cancun or even a cruise to get the full experience of several islands.
