What Caribbean island is best for me?
I'm looking for a trip with my girlfriend in January to the Caribbean, but I'm overwhelmed with the amount of options. Here's what you're looking for: around or below $ 400 to fly at less than $ 200/night for a hotel in an area that still non-tourist/commercialized has lots of activities I'm trying to avoid Jamaica and the Bahamas, even though they are cheaper, looking for an authentic island where you can relax during the day and participate in some activities at night.
St. Maarten / St. Martin is great. You can check out the island for two days and then move on to other islands such as Saba, St. Bart, St. Kitts, Nevis, Anguilla and Statia jumping on a fast ferry or flight. A great place to discover the wide variety of nations and cultures of the Caribbean.
