What should I do with this stupid wedding?
My boyfriend and I can not afford a wedding or honeymoon, her parents said to pay for half if we go directly to the Bahamas and get married and spend a week there. his parents, my parents, brothers and us. Sounds like a great idea? course. unless my parents are saying no way! they want to be a big to do for this wedding in our city but can not afford to do that and neither can we! my mom and me said that his friends will donate the photographer, food, decorations and flowers and for me, that sounds horrible! I'm too embarrassed to do that and my boyfriend has already said it will not appear if we do that. I've never been outside the country and this sounds like a wonderful idea to me, but my parents guilt trip about it do not know what do. My boyfriend and I really really want is to have a private ceremony anywhere you go, why not on a tropical island? I do not really know what to do. Am trapped! I need help!
Wow this sounds like my first wedding, except it was my mother in law was still a problem. We ended up getting married in Jamaica in resort. My immediate family, best friend, his dad and step mom were there. It was not nearly as expensive as having a big blowout wedding hometown. Without But after the fact, I really regretted not getting married in my hometown. My friends and extended family did not get to see me get married. His mother also missed since she refused to board a plane. Do not get me wrong, the day was perfect, without the interference of his mother, but I always felt like he did the right way. The biggest cost to the tropical island is to get people there for the ceremony and find a place for everyone to stay. Many resorts have wedding packages that are very reasonable and very romantic.
