No permanent U.S. resident require a passport to cruise to the Bahamas?
My friend is a green card holder, and reserved the cruise to the Bahamas Friday. But since the delay of issuing passports, which have not received your passport, however, the cruise and will not return the money, but leads to see whether it really needs a passport. So my question is do you need a passport to cruise to the Bahamas if you file your Green Card? Because, as I read travel.state.gov or www.carnival.com that it says little permanent resident. And I know that the passport requirement for U.S. citizen (Cruise) is deferred until January 2009. Thus anyone have any firsthand experience? We are very worried. Thanks in advance.
I think contact with his national security or passport office premises. Passports are for U.S. citizens that your friend is not. A green card only lets you work and live in the U.S.. When re-entering the U.S. likely need your passport from their country of origin, so it is important to check this before you go. If he is a U.S. citizen naturalized their naturalization papers act as a birth certificate in which case they will need a photo ID. (and naturalization papers)
