Bahamas beach forecast
Will Carnival re-route a cruise if the weather in the destinations is rainy/stormy?

I am sailing out of Jacksonville, FL this Thursday 8/25 cruising to the Bahamas. There is a hurricane headed there but it will be past the Bahamas by the time we get there, but I just checked the weather forecast for the Bahamas and it is supposed to rain and storm every day we are there. This will absolutely ruin my vacation as you can imagine… sure Carnival would have the decency to take us somewhere where we can actually enjoy the beach. Even if there is no danger for the actual ship, will they still re-route the cruise to a different place, like Cozumel or something?

If storms make it dangerous for a ship to pull into a particular port Carnival will Absolutely try to find another port hopefully with better weather so that you can get out somewhere. They know that stops in the ports are very important. If you have pre-purchase shore excursions they will help you to make necessary changes. I would say about 80% of the time I see Carnival is able to find a different port. If they cant find another port for some reason they will try to navigate out of the storm so that people can at least enjoy sunshine up on lido deck in the pool all day.

Happy sailing!
