Need Ideas for Bahama Vacation!?

I’m going on a cruise to the Bahamas and was wondering if anyone had good advice on what there is to do on St. Maarten, St. Thomas and Cococay. Would LOVE any and all input. places to eat, shop, land excursions etc.

Hi!
I have been to these islands and can offer advice from my own personal experience, but you might find even more stuff to do… St. Maarten is a great place to shop! It’s about a 10 minute walk from the cruise port and jewelry would be what to buy here, it’s cheap! There is also a nice beach right at the cruiseport if you wanted to hang out there. St. Thomas is a little more expensive for jewelry, there is a small shopping section right when you get off the ship, but you can also go into town with a taxi to shop some more. Also Meagan’s Bay is a beautiful beach area (It’s either St. Thomas or St. Maarten, I am getting them confused here) but you would need a taxi to get there, but it is definiately worth it, very nice beach area with a couple small cafe’s to eat at. Coco Cay I believe is Norweigan’s private island. This is a nice place to relax. beach stuff and then any excursions offered by the ship are always fun! If you are going to Nassau, Bahamas there is a lot of shopping downtown there too! We did a swim with the stingrays excursion here, but it wasn’t that great. If you ever get to Grand Cayman that’s where you’ll want to swim with stingrays. Good luck! You can also check out www. tripadvisor.com or cruisecritic.com to see what other people have done and recommend :)
