period in the bahamas?!?!?!?
im going to bahamas and i think i will get my period that week! 
were ging to the atlantis resort and going on the slides and stuff. what should i do? does a tampon actually work? im scared of using one. i only use pads. please help
Believe me, tampons work wonderfully. The first time I used one was just before going to a friends house to swim. I thought my period was over, but I found out it wasn’t. That’s when I finally put one in. I didn’t feel anything, see anything, it was painless and I felt thrilled to be going swimming on my period. Why are you scared of using one? During my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd periods, I didn’t want to use one because I didn’t want to be sticking some object up my vagina. i thought tampons were inhuman. Now I don’t, of course, but I can understand if others do. Tampons aren’t bad at all, they may seem a little freaky because you do insert them into your vagina, but they are very useful and you don’t even feel anything. If you do use a tampon, i strongly recommend ‘Pearl Lights’. I think Tampax makes them, you can pop by any CVS store and they sell them there.
